This birding trip was our third with Tropical Birding and was a 12-day tour in the northern part of the high Andes of Argentina, starting in Tucaman and ending in Salta. The region contains many different habitats, ranging from lush forests to deserts and high elevation lakes, so a large number of bird species can be found here.
Ahead of the tour we spent three days in Buenos Aires, enjoying this lively city and doing some birding on our own and also with local bird guide Diego Galegos, who I’d been out birding with on previous trips to the city.
