After a second night in Eshowe, on 18 August we travelled to the coastal town of St Lucia where we were going to stay at Ndiza Lodge, which is close to the ocean and the mouth of the Mfolozi River.

On the way to St Lucia we stopped at Mtunzini Nature Reserve, which is close to the coast and by a freshwater lake. The birds were very active in the forest and during our couple of hours there we photographed some good birds, such as the Trumpeter Hornbill and White-eared Barbet.
