On 13 February we started our journey towards the east coast, stopping at a couple of places to do some birding. We particularly enjoyed our time at the Hickey’s Creek Mitigation Park, which has an extensive system of trails passing through a number of habitats.

Many of the birds we saw were the same as at Ding Darling, including Roseate Spoonbill, Little Blue Heron, Willet, Double-crested Cormorant, American White Pelican and Snowy Egret.
